Green Technologies in Landscape Architecture

Focusing on green technologies and building on the technical-constructive foundations of landscape architecture, the professorship's research and teaching extends to city-wide concepts of urban climate adaptation. Nature Based Solutions (NBS), as a specific type of green technology, play a central role in the preservation and development of livable cities in the face of the climate crisis. Small-scale, locally adapted green technologies - "blue-green infrastructures" - gain special significance through the networks and synergies created when they work together with other multimodal uses of open space.
