Santiago Guerrero-Koch is a new research associate in the Landscape Architecture and Design department at the ILA. Santiago completed his Master's degree in Landscape Architecture at our university two years ago and subsequently gained practical experience at a planning firm. Santiago engages intensively with alternative forms of living and design, as well as with our individual and collective relationship to space. His approach draws from traditional and alternative knowledge systems form Colombia, personal and communal experiences, and decolonial and anticolonial theories from Latin America. Concepts such as the pluriverse, Buen Vivir (the Good Life), and the understanding of nature as a living, conscious subject shape his thinking and his work.
